Effect of Rotary Mesuring Tape on Orange Cat

Synopsis: In this study, an orange cat was placed on the floor and a rotary measuring tape unwinded and then jiggled around in front of the orange cat. The button was then quickly pressed and the tape quickly rewinded into the plastic case.

Result: The orange cat at first looked puzzled by this tape, but then quckly began grasping for it and at one point had it around his left paw twice. When the tape was pulled back in he again appeared to be somewhat confused but then was quickly distracted by other events.
